Computer generated imagery (CGI) is the application of computer graphics to create or contribute to images in films, television programs, short films, advertisements and videos, art, print media, video games, simulators, computer animation and VFX. Images can be dynamic or static and can be two-dimensional (2D) or 3D, but the term “CGI” describes 3D computer graphics most commonly used to create characters, scenes, and special effects in movies and television.
